What is EXIF metadata?
EXIF is a set of tags stored inside photos that records camera model, lens, exposure settings, date and often GPS coordinates. It is embedded in JPG, PNG, WebP, TIFF and HEIC files.
What is XMP and ICC metadata?
XMP is an Adobe metadata format used for copyright, keywords and editing history. ICC is a color profile block that describes the color space; both are removed along with EXIF.
Will removing metadata reduce image quality?
No. Only the metadata segments are deleted. The pixel data is copied byte for byte, so the image keeps its original quality and resolution.
Does this tool remove GPS from my photos?
Yes. GPS coordinates live inside the EXIF block, so removing EXIF deletes location data from JPG, PNG and WebP images.
Which image formats are supported?
JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, HEIC, HEIF, AVIF and SVG. HEIC and AVIF are processed by removing metadata items while keeping the file structure valid.
